How to answer Jamb CBT(Computer Based Test) Question
In the past I made a post on Jamb registration dates and requirements
. If you've gone through the post and you are now wondering how to answer the CBT questions, you are not alone.
You don't have to be scared though because it's not rocket science, neither do you have to be a computer guru to be able to answer Jamb CBT questions.
To take the Computer Based Test, there are only 8 different keys
you need to know in the Keyboard. Once you can find these keys and you're able to press them as at when due in the exam hall, you would successfully pass Jamb without any issues.
Before looking at these keys, you might like to check out 3 things to do before answering a question in Jamb.
3 Things to Do Before Answering a Jamb Question
1. Read the question very carefully
Jamb can be very tricky when it comes to asking questions. Before you choose any answer, make sure you have read the question at least twice of thrice if you have enough time.
Don't be surprised if you get an answer different from what you thought at first, that's how tricky Jamb can be with questions.
2. Make sure you typed the correct key
You must have come across a write up at least once, whether in soft or hard copy that contains a typographical error. This is because the keys of the keyboard are a little bit together, no one is above this mistake.
So, before you move to the next question, make sure the ticked option is your choice.
3. Do not leave any question unanswered
Most students make this mistake. You shouldn't leave any question unanswered. Jamb will never mark you down for giving wrong answers. If your sum of your correct answer is 210, you'll be scored 210 - no extra mark is deducted from you because you failed the remaining 190.
Even if you have given it a deep thought and concluded that you don't know the answer to the question, just choose any random option - maybe you'll be lucky, but you should never rely on luck in any way.
An additional tip
Skip the tough question first and return to it later:
If you see yourself spending more time than usual on a particular question - maybe because the question is hard, it's best for you to skip the question for the meantime
You can come back to it when you're done answering the questions you are more conversant with.
This is a very important tip to take note of while taking the Jamb CBT examination.
